The Genelec 9401A works by converting AoIP streams (ST2110, AES67 and Ravenna) into AES/EBU outputs, providing 16 channels of digital audio over the unit's DB25 connector, which can be input into Genelec SAM Monitoring systems. The 9401A also includes a dedicated subwoofer output and flexible auxiliary stereo monitoring output. A single 9401A supports all popular immersive formats, such as 9.1.6, while using several 9401A units allows the channel count to be extended further, supporting even larger configurations, such as 22.2. Multiple SAM Subwoofers can be connected to extend low frequency output for LFE or flexible Bass Management. The 9401A is fully compatible with our UNIO Platform, which supports bridging of in-room and personal headphone monitoring with maximal accuracy.
